Lars Öhrström

Dr. Lars Öhrström is Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. He received his M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, and Ph.D. in chemistry, from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm 1988 and 1993 respectively. He completed postdoctoral training at the Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission, CEA, in Grenoble prior to joining Chalmers in 1995. He co-authored Molecule Based Materials – The Structural Network Approach in 2005 and is also a prolific popular science writer. He received the Gunnar Starck medal from the Swedish Chemical Society in 2018.
