Jennifer L Strand

Jennifer Strand is a middle school social studies teacher, amateur historian, and historical fiction writer.Raised in Oregon, she studied history at the University of Oregon and Portland State University, and has a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in secondary education. She went on to teach thirteen- and fourteen-year-old students about a bunch of dead guys and the importance of why we learn history-so we can better understand the world we live in today and do something to change it.She lives in Northwest Oregon with her husband, Kenny, her children, K.C. and Skye Lynn, and their Norwegian elkhound, Baldur. When she is not parenting, teaching, or writing, she enjoys cooking, reading romance novels, and obsessing over miniatures.
