Jefffrey Abugel

Jeffrey Abugel is an American author, journalist, certified life coach, and advocate specializing in psychology, particularly depersonalization disorder (DPD)-a condition involving feelings of detachment from oneself or one's surroundings. He has lived with DPD for over a decade, which inspired much of his work, blending personal experience with research on its ties to philosophy, literature, and spirituality. A graduate of New York University, Abugel has over 35 years as an editor and writer, with hundreds of articles published in consumer magazines. He is also the founder of the Initiative for Depersonalization Studies.
