Flavio Barbiero was born in Italy in 1942, graduated in engineering at the University of Pisa in 1967, retired from service in 1998. At the end of the 70s, the meeting with Prof. Emmanuel Anati determined a permanent turning point in his extra-professional interests. Having become a member and advisor of the Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici, founded and directed by Anati, he began to actively collaborate in his research, in particular those carried out in the archaeological concession of Har Karkom (Negev), identified with the biblical Mount Sinai. In 1988 he published the book "The Bible without Secrets", an in-depth analysis of the biblical text in an essentially historical key. From that year onwards Barbiero regularly joined Prof. Anati's expeditions to Israel and from then on he devoted himself completely to both bibliographical and archaeological research related in some way to the events of Moses and his sacred mountain, publishing the books: "Year 1186 B.C. In the name of Sethnackth – from Egypt to Canaan – the epic of Israel" "The secret Society of Moses" (Inners Traditions), "The Judeo-Christian roots of Europe", "Egeria on the mountain of God – Saint Catherine or Har Karkom?", "Mishkan – the temple-tent of Moses". This publication summarizes the results of thirty years of research carried out at Har Karkom under the aegis of Anati.
