Felicia Hemans

Felicia Dorothea Hemans was an English poet, born in Liverpool in 1793. She married Alfred Hemans in 1812, and the two had five children before separating in 1819. Her works of poetry became popular in both England and the United States and were republished and anthologized after her death.
