Donna and her husband lived in a farm house on in a pretty little town next to Lake Erie. In November of 2010 the house caught fire leaving them homeless. They moved into their 2002 Ford Taurus with their dogs, cats and goldfish. They headed South and ended up in Charleston, South Carolina. Donna spent her days reading in the car with her dogs while her husband looked for work. She soon dreamed up a story and put it on paper. Her husband thought it was good enough to be published so she sent it to a magazine. They bought it. Unfortunately, she never got the check for that first story because they decided they needed to move to Orlando, Florida for work. It was there that her future career was born. While they were in Orlando she was inspired to write her first book, Twice In A Lifetime. She wrote the entire book longhand on yellow legal pads, then found an old royal non-electric typewriter at a flea market and typed the book while sitting the car and trying to keep the dogs in shade. After a few weeks they moved again, this time to Columbus, Georgia. They found a place to live where they could keep the dogs and her husband found full-time work. Donna rode the bus every day to the library to use their computers to put her book on a flash drive. Her husband suprised her with a used laptop he bought at a pawn shop. With that gifted laptop Donna polished Twice In A Lifetime and it was published October 31, 2012, Temptation on Jasmine Island followed in January 2013, Night Magic in March 2013, and Moon Magic in June 2013 Donna now lives in Cheyenne, Wyoming with her hubsand.
