Daniel Hagen

Daniel Hagen, born in 1970, recognized early on that the world is much larger than the small German village where he spent his first years. He moved to Hong Kong with his parents and sister when he was eight, and from that moment on he realized that a stationary life is not in his DNA. He traveled the world as a diving instructor, lived with his wife in Egypt for 13 years and during that time — thanks to her — found his love for the written word. The two have been successfully running their business doing translation and editing for more than a decade. Daniel and Angelica have been living in Portugal with Mumken, an Egyptian street cat and self-declared ruler of the universe, since 2012.
