Tamer Başar

Tamer Başar is the Swanlund Endowed Chair Emeritus, CAS Professor Emeritus of ECE, and Research Professor, CSL and ITI, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Academia Europaea, and a Fellow of IEEE, IFAC, SIAM, ACA, AIIA, and AAIA. He was Editor-in-Chief of Automatica from 2004—2014 and is editor of several book series. He is a coauthor with Geert Jan Olsder of the book Noncooperative Game Theory (SIAM, 1998).
