BEGUM, K. M. MEERA SHERIFFA

K. M. MEERA SHERIFFA BEGUM, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at NITT. She has served in various academic and administrative capacities, including as Associate Dean of Institutional Development and as Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering from 2018 to 2020. She was also the Chairperson of Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)–Women at NITT.Dr. Meera has been actively engaged in teaching engineering students since 1997. Dr. Meera has published several research articles in reputed international and national journals and continues to guide doctoral students in their research work. She also serves as a reviewer for an international journal and is a member of several professional bodies, including the Institution of Engineers (India), the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the Indian Society for Technical Education.She has successfully carried out MHRD, DST, CSIR, SPARC, SERB and BRICKS sponsored projects and has participated in international academic programs, visiting NUS (Singapore) under the TEQIP programme, as well as Dubai and the United Kingdom.
