Allan G. Bluman

Dr. Allan G. Bluman taught mathematics for 39 years at McKeesprt High School and the Community College of Allegheny County. He also taught statistics for Penn State University in their graduate Health Education Program. He received he bacheor's degree from Califorina Universtiy of Pennsylvania and his masters' and doctor's degrees from Universtiy of Pittsburgh. He has written seven mathematics books published by the McGraw-Hill Company. Three of these are college text books. He was inducted into the McKeesport High School Hall of Fame in 2010. Dr. Bluman received the South Campus "Apple for the Teacher" award for being excellences to the learning enviroment and has been recognized by the Who's Who on American Education Society. He was a member of the McKeesport Area Toastmasters for many years and received the Advanced Communicator Gold Speaking Certificate from Toastmasters International. Since retiring, he has continued his textbook writing career and likes to study the facts and curiosities of mathematics.
