Albert Folch Folch

A native of Barcelona, Albert Folch is a professor of Bioengineering at the University of Washington in Seattle. His laboratory develops microfluidic devices for cancer and neural engineering applications. In his spare time, he plays soccer, prepares scientific art exhibits, and writes books. Albert Folch has had insider's access to the club at several levels. He also has a passion for youth coaching and served as a coach for an FCB Camp held near Seattle. He has written a successful textbook (Introduction to BioMEMS, CRC Press) and two general science books (both in Catalan: Caught on the Internet and The Science in Soccer, the latter soon available in English).
