Starship Troupers

THE SHOW MUST GO ON -- TO THE NEXT PLANET!

In the future, a troupe of Broadway actors decide to take the stage to the stars. In their quest to bring theater to the colony planets where live plays are a rarity, they embark on a tour of misadventures.

From reactionary government censors trying to ban their "timeless repertory of immorality", to company planets deeply suspicious of any play that could be considered subversive, to puritan colonies where live theater is banned altogether, the cast and crew of the Star Company desperately try to eke out just enough money from performances to make it to the next planet and keep on touring.

And that's just the audiences! Behind the scenes, chaos rivals the onstage drama. The set designer and costumer must overcome tiny budgets and outdated equipment to still deliver theatrical magic on the stage. Worse, the director has to juggle overbearing prima donna leading ladies, character actors who can't stay sober, clashing artistic visions, and backstage romances to somehow pull together decent performances night after night.

Can the cast and crew unite to keep the show alive? Will their passion for theater shine through the challenges? Join this motley troupe on a wild ride through the galaxy, where every performance could be their last. But no matter what, one thing remains clear: the show must go on!
