About this ebook
Since opening his hit restaurant in historic Harlem, Billy’s career has skyrocketed. Now, his second world-class restaurant, BB’s Bistro, is due to open right on the famous Las Vegas Strip, atop the stunning Lago di Como Hotel and Casino. And just to make things interesting, the finale of Billy’s hit streaming show, The Ultimate Menu, is being filmed—on-site—during the same crazed week.
But when his old NYPD buddy, retired detective Deacon Solomon, asks him for help, worried about someone who went missing late one night in Las Vegas ... well, favors for friends? In Billy’s world, that’s what you do.
Soon, Billy is deep behind the scenes of the twenty-four-hour megacasinos and ultraluxury hotels, even traveling out to the endless desert in search of clues. He quickly learns what appears to be a missing person case, plain and simple, is something far more complex. And possibly deadly. There are powerful people who very much insist he stop asking questions. Or else ...
But in order to achieve the impossible—open his bistro at the top of Sin City’s newest luxury hotel, host the show’s big finale, and, yes, uncover a murderer who is about to strike again—Billy will need to peel back each layer of his newest intriguing mystery.
With the clock ticking, Murder by Chance is a funny and thrilling ride that hurtles towards a breathless and wildly unexpected ending.
