She was supposed to die in that car. Audrey Graham knows it. Feels it every time her rebuilt legs remind her of the accident that should have killed her. But firefighter Hudson Lowell had other plans. He cut her free. Kept her alive. Gave her a second chance she's determined not to waste.

Finding him at adult summer camp feels like fate. Except Hudson isn't the confident hero from her memories. He's shattered. Guilt-ridden. Barely holding himself together after a fire that took his best friends. And he doesn't want her sunshine or her second chance optimism anywhere near his darkness.

But Audrey didn't fight her way back from death to give up now. As camp activities force them together and the attraction between them ignites, she begins to see the truth. He doesn't just need saving. He needs to believe he's worth saving. Can she convince her grumpy hero to take his own second chance? Or will his survivor's guilt destroy the love neither of them saw coming?

Find out in Second Chance Summer, a powerful romance featuring adult summer camp, hurt/comfort, and a love that heals.

Maybe Hudson was hoping he should replace John in Rachel's life with all the moping he was doing for being rescued. What a pathetic, naive arrogance that every solution should fall on him. Despite his attraction towards Audrey, it was his misguided obligation for Rachel that held him back, relegating what he felt for Audrey as always into just a summer fling and it was Audrey who pursued the chance for them to have a real commitment. He never considered anything, instead running to Rachel always whenever she called for help, insulting to Audrey in a way. Something annoying about a man who couldn't make up his mind.

If you are going to read romance, this book is not to be missed. The characters are so real you can feel their pain, more importantly if you are a romantic at heart, their joy will bring tears of happiness to your eyes. This book is a must read.

The first time they met, Professor Audrey Graham’s life was on the line and it was Firefighter Hudson Lowell’s voice that she remembers from the accident. It was fate that these two would reconnect and their journey was painful, heartbreaking and heartwarming. Now Audrey and Hudson are together at Camp Firefly Falls and they bring light into one another’s lives. This was an emotional story that will keep you invested from the first to the last page.
