There's no build-up between the characters, no emotional depth, and things just happen so out of nowhere. She just accepts having a Gargoyle in her house with no questions asked, then they go from nothing to oh please *** me and marry me. And if you're into erotica even those scenes are rushed and lack any sort of connection or emotion. I wouldn't recommend it.

So, I have a soft spot for gargoyles (irony intended). Anemone lost her husband and unborn child. A rescued cat (Bruce Wayne). a child’s shoe leads a newly awoken gargoyle in Dunston to Anemone. Recommend.

A widow whos husband was lost at sea trying to figure out how to get through life alone. An accident leads to a mysterious protector saving her life. The relationship that builds between the two main characters is kind of a slow burn the hero thinks she is married and her husband is at sea but when he finds out that she is actually a widow and she is attracted to him the relationship takes a beautiful turn. I loved this book, the fact that it ties in beautifully with Broken Chains and the plot that took place in that book was so amazing, and the lead in to meet the 3rd brother I can not wait for Broken Dreams.
