About this ebook

About the Book

Somewhere between getting out of bed and picking up this book, you probably felt it. That familiar pull in your lower back. The grinding twinge in your knee on the stairs. The dull ache in your shoulder you've almost stopped noticing. If you've been told your pain is "just wear and tear," or that you should rest and take painkillers, this book offers a different, more hopeful answer.

No More Body Pain is built on a simple, evidence-backed truth: for the vast majority of ordinary back, knee and joint pain, your body responds far better to the right kind of movement than it does to rest and medication alone. This is not a fringe opinion—it is the current guidance of leading health bodies and physiotherapists worldwide.

Structured in five parts, the book begins by helping you understand what's actually happening inside your joints—and why pain is not a perfect measure of damage. It then prepares you with safety knowledge, foundation skills, and a traffic light system for reading your own pain. The heart of the book is the 30-Day Programme: Week One wakes your body up gently; Week Two builds real strength; Week Three sharpens control and balance; Week Four locks in freedom of movement. Part Four offers targeted routines for specific trouble spots—your back, knees, shoulders, hips, hands and neck. And Part Five shows you how to make it last, with strategies for consistency, setbacks, and life after Day 30.

Inside you will discover:

Why "wear and tear" is a misleading description of joint pain—and what's really happening.

How pain actually works, including the gate control theory and the biopsychosocial model.

A simple traffic light system for reading your own pain safely and confidently.

Diaphragmatic breathing and neutral posture—the two foundation skills for everything else.

The full 30-day programme: gentle mobility, functional strength, balance, and control.

Targeted routines for back pain (including sciatica), knee pain, and other joints.

Daily habits that protect your back, knees, and hands for the long term.

How to handle flare-ups without losing your progress.

Realistic, honest guidance on what to expect in the weeks and months ahead.

Written with warmth, honesty, and deep clinical experience, No More Body Pain is more than a book of exercises. It is a companion for anyone ready to stop fearing their own body—and start trusting it again.

About the author

Dr Casey R. Klapper has spent more than two decades working alongside people living with everyday back, knee and joint pain, with a clinical career built on a simple, stubborn belief: that most bodies are far more capable of recovering their own comfortable movement than they’re ever given credit for, and that patient, well-structured exercise consistently outperforms rest and reliance on medication alone for ordinary musculoskeletal pain. That belief was shaped by years spent watching the same story repeat itself in clinic after clinic — a patient arriving stiff, frightened of movement, and reliant on painkillers that dulled the ache without ever addressing why it kept returning, and leaving months later walking taller, sleeping better, and needing far less medication than when they’d started. No More Body Pain was written to bring that same structured, unhurried, evidence-based approach to readers who may never have the chance to sit across from a physiotherapist in person, but deserve exactly the same quality of guidance. When not writing or working directly with patients, Dr Klapper can usually be found on a long walk, on the theory — borrowed from Hippocrates, and now thoroughly confirmed by modern research — that it remains one of the best medicines there is
