About this ebook

Dryce has a reputation, and he’s earned every bit of it.

Warrior by blood. Playboy by choice. He’s tasted everything Earth has to offer, and he has no plans to slow down. Detyens die young, and he’s determined to go out on his own terms: smiling, satisfied, and utterly debauched.

Until he spots her.

Peyton gave up on happily ever after a long time ago.

Her job is to study alien tech, support what’s left of her family, and avoid smooth-talking aliens with sharp smiles and wandering hands. And Dryce? He’s a walking complication, one who wouldn’t know the meaning of commitment if it punched him in the face.

But when a looming planetary threat forces them to work together, neither of them can walk away. Not when the fate of Earth is on the line. Not when the heat between them threatens to destroy every boundary she’s ever set.

To save the world they’ll have to risk everything: their lives, their hearts, and the future of the Detyen race.

And the denya bond may be the only thing strong enough to keep the darkness at bay.

Until he spots ...

This book starts where the previous one Faultless finishes. It is part of a series, but the books are standalones, with a cross over of characters from previous books. Although you can read as a standalone, you will benefit from the background information from previous books. I have personally only read one other book in the series. I really enjoyed this book, especially as the previous one was still relatively fresh in my mind. It was well written with a Intriguing and interesting storyline and has great likable characters with depth. Some action and suspense, but mainly light easy to read. The book was also a decent length.

This is a really good story! Full of action, suspense, danger, emotional edge and steam! I really love the main characters! Peyton and Dryce are so great! Dryce is nearing his 30th birthday. He has not found his Denya and doesn't think he will in time for it to matter. He has become somewhat of a playboy by enjoying earth women. Peyton is a tech guru. She and her team have come across valuable information that could help find the weapons hidden on Earth. Peyton and Dryce are partnered up for the mission. The heat is off the charts between these two! I love the witty banter in this story. Although this is book 5 in the series it can be read as a stand alone read. The author does a good job with back history so you don't feel like you missed anything. I would highly suggest reading all of them. Their is an underlying plot, common threat and connected characters in the stories.

Stand-alone alien romance in the Detyen warriors series. Solid characters - Peyton is feisty and has some walls around her, Dryce appears to be a playboy, but will he give it all up for his Denya? There’s a bit of subterfuge on his part as Peyton is reluctant to engage with him past a professional level - will it come back to hit him in the face or will they work through it? I would have liked a bit more suspense to really hold my attention, perfectly readable but pretty predictable. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
