About this ebook

From USA Today bestselling author Mazey Eddings comes a dazzling sapphic romance about fame, friendship, and falling for the one person you were never meant to.

Lost. Reckless. In love.

Cubby Clark is the heart of her band—loyal, earnest, and determined to make music that matters. But just as they’re about to break out, Connor, her on-again, off-again boyfriend walks away . . . and rockets to solo fame with a hit song tearing her down.

Left with a fractured band, a publicly adored and toxic ex, and relentless writer’s block, Cubby is barely holding it together.

The only thing keeping her steady are her friends and bandmates Darcy and Harry. Especially Darcy—bright, magnetic, and more guarded than she lets on. But, when a seemingly romantic photo of Cubby and Harry goes viral the same night Cubby and Darcy hook-up, the inseparable pair begin to fracture.

Thrust into a whirlwind tour, Cubby and Darcy are forced into close quarters. Now Cubby has one summer to decide what she’s willing to risk. Walking away would be easier. But staying might mean everything.

I enjoyed reading this book. Cubby's story took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. I laughed, I cried. There were moments I wanted to shout at her for making an obviously stupid choice with predictable consequences. Even when I was frustrated with Cubby, the story remained believable and I kept rooting for her to have everything work out. I think I've gotten spoiled reading romance books told in dual POV. There were several times that I wished to see something from the love interest's POV and a couple where I wished for another side character's POV. But this book is told completely from Cubby's POV so I didn't get to see what anyone else was thinking outside of her lens. I won't mention names because I don't want to spoil anything, but I really hope that there will be a book following a certain side character who had a few things unresolved by the end of this book. I was fortunate enough to receive an early copy of this book and this is my review containing my honest opinions.

A beautifully written sapphic romance filled with heart, longing, and slow‑burn tension — and truly as gorgeous on the outside as it is inside. The gifted copy I read has stunning sprayed edges and the cutest comic‑book‑style cover art, the kind that catches your eye immediately and looks lovely on a shelf. Inside, the emotional depth shines. I loved the rom‑com sparkle, the tenderness, and the way the story explores fame, pressure, and identity with honesty and care.
