Not as enthralling as "Blood Meridian," but a good read nonetheless. Had to resort to ancillary materials to understand the last chapter of this novel.

Family dramas do not come more gothic and more disturbing than than Cormac McCarthy's Outer Dark. The story is of a brother and a sister and the child made between the two of them in a timeless West Virginia wood. McCarthy writes ageless prose.
