About this ebook

From the author of the imaginative and “awe-inspiring” (New York Journal of Books) The Electric State—now a Netflix film—comes the haunting sequel to his remarkable Tales from the Loop.

Welcome back to the Loop.

In 1954, the Swedish government ordered the construction of the world’s largest particle accelerator in the pastoral countryside of Mälaröarna. The local population called this marvel of technology The Loop and celebrated its completion. But Mälaröarna and the world would never be the same.

Infused with strange machines and unfathomable creatures, Things from the Flood is transcendent look at technology that will stay with you long after you turn the final page.

While a short read, Things From the Flood manages to capture a unique and memorable glance into Mälaröarna and the treasures it holds. I found the segment about the robotic men who were left abandoned without purpose and forced to wander the woods particularly interesting. The pacing is rather well done and leads to supprisingly wholesome humor, -I especially enjoyed the Teddy segment. Overall, an excellent read. My only complaint is that the price is steep, especially for less than 200 pages. 8/10

Beautiful, & mesmerizing. This book along with the title 'The Electric State' by the same author is imaginative creepy and somehow feels allp]]⁰)] too plausible. The only regret I have is purchasing this title as an ebook and not a hardcover book. It is an amazing art book, and I feel like in order to appreciate it fully I need the art in front of me. I plan on buying both books as hardbacks.
