About this ebook

Bon Temps’s psychic waitress takes a dangerous road trip in the third novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling Sookie Stackhouse series—the inspiration for the HBO® original series True Blood.

There’s only one vampire Sookie Stackhouse is involved with (at least voluntarily) and it’s Bill Compton. But recently he’s been a little distant—in another state, distant. Then his sinister and sexy boss Eric Northman tells Sookie where she might find him. Next thing she knows, she’s off to Jackson, Mississippi, to mingle with the under-underworld at Club Dead, a dangerous little haunt where the elite of vampire society can go to chill out and suck down some Type-O. But when Sookie finally finds Bill—caught in an act of serious betrayal—she’s not sure whether to save him...or sharpen some stakes.

Sookie's willfully petulant teenager behavior at times when she doesn't get her way is getting tiresome. She Reverts to tears all the time when she doesn't get her way & it's tiresome. She takes some things in the vampire organizations as a joke and doesn't realize or attempt to try to understand the seriousness of their organization. She is willing to accept supernatural entities but ignorant to accept their ways of doing things are different. She constantly throws petulent temper tantrums. In the earlier book when she & Bill first went to Fangtasia & met Eric and Pam she acknowledged that Pam had a British accent. In this book she is narrating it as if it’s the first time she heard the accent. Wanting the actions that a human would do in a relationship from a Vampire is selfish & unreasonable. Pressuring Bill and pouting about him not doing it when she knew she was getting involved with a Vampire is unfair to Bill. Her & Jason both have selfish ways but displays them differently.

This story has a bit of everything. Plenty of action, drama, mystery, and tragedy. The world gets expanded to a unique area as well as a mentioned but previously unexplained one. The characters are so inviting and realistic. I absolutely love the action and banter. Watching the way things play out keeps me on the edge of my seat. Absolutely amazing book.

Trouble comes for Sookie & Bill's relationship in the shape of Bill's ex-girlfriend, named Lorena. Also ... it doesn't help that Bill turns into a prick either. However, when Bill doesn't turn up when he's supposed to Eric asks Sookie to go undercover to save him. ...... 5 out of 5 stars ... great ending!!!! =0) Review By: From Me to You ...
