When Hollywood lawyer Jerry Vincent is murdered, Haller inherits his biggest case yet: the defense of Walter Elliott, a prominent studio executive accused of murdering his wife and her lover. But as Haller prepares for the case that could launch him into the big time, he learns that Vincent's killer may be coming for him next. Enter Harry Bosch. Determined to find Vincent's killer, he is not opposed to using Haller as bait. But as danger mounts and the stakes rise, these two loners realize their only choice is to work together.

Wow... I'm massively impressed and touched at the conclusion of this book. The twists alone make your neck snap with all the punches from different angles thrown at you. Michael Connelly is on top of his game! The original The Lincoln Lawyer didn't have any pauses in action and pacing, it impressed from beginning to end. The Brass Verdict had some drag in the middle of the book, but let me tell you that MC makes up for it in the twists and reveals in this second TLL entry. Simply the addition to Harry Bosch (that's all I'll say about that) is fantastic! The different angles of plot lines and just how high up the corruption goes... Wow! This books put you smack dab in the mind of Mickey Haller and has you rooting for him, along with feeling his pain and torture. Sympathy plays a big role and that beautiful ending... Wow. I'm a huge fan. I absolutely adore TLL series and MC. A well earned and enthusiastic 5/5.
