About this ebook

They’re coming for her.

Over his dead body.

Cybersecurity queen Delilah Davis’s first field assignment should have been routine—run a system check in a dust-baked one-street town in West Texas, shake a few hands, and head back to HQ. But the locals are anything but friendly.

Then the phones go dead.

Every road out is blocked.

And armed men stand between them and escape.

Former Texas Ranger Zack Adam knows this isn’t random. Someone went to a lot of trouble to stop them from leaving—and his gut says Delilah’s notorious past is the reason.

If Zack can’t find a way out, the men hunting them won’t just tighten the noose around his neck—they’ll turn Delilah into their weapon.

They walked into a trap.

Now it’s a standoff

Delilah is Hightower's IT guru and has desperately wanted to do a 'field job' out of the nice safe office. When a nice simple straightforward IT clear out/system check of a recently closed bank in a small Texas town comes up, she is cleared to do it, with Zack, an ex Texas Ranger along for security. O my goodness!!! This was mindblown amazing! It literally feels as if you are there with Zack and Delilah witnessing their hilarious banter and interaction! You can see Delilah struggling to adjust to the Texas environment while she is used to all the city comforts. But more than that, Jorgia Yates weaves all the needed ingredients for an awesome romantic faith suspense together to give us an unforgettable book filled with humor, suspense, drama, romantic zing and faith-nuggets!

This author never disappoints! The main characters are opposites which makes for a fun story. I loved the mystery and excitement of what was happening. The leading lady had me laughing at her thoughts and actions. The leading man is every woman's hero. He's stoic, rugged, tough exterior, and soft as a marshmallow interior. Both are christian believers who do their best to act accordingly. Loved this book!

About the author

Falling in love shouldn’t be this dangerous—but Jorgia Yates wouldn’t have it any other way.

She writes Christian Romantic Suspense with protective heroes, courageous heroines, and a faith that holds strong when everything else falls apart.

Jorgia married her teenage sweetheart (after a very awkward meet-cute in the 90s), and together they’re raising two amazing children on the spectrum.

Living with chronic illness means her world is a little smaller—but her imagination is anything but. So while real life includes rest, resilience, and lots of grace, her characters chase danger, dodge bullets, and fall hard for the kind of love that protects—body and soul.
