About this ebook

After a stint in reform school, a young teen decides it’s time to come clean and prove to her small town that she’s really, truly changed for the better.

“Tiffany Templeton may be tough, but her story is equal parts humor and heart.”—Preston Norton, author of Neanderthal Opens the Door to the Universe

“A fresh take on a classic story of coming of age—one that’s filled with humor, compassion, and a few small crimes.”—Grant Ginder, author of The People We Hate at the Wedding

With a leather jacket and a mean right hook, Tiffany’s always been the bad girl of her tiny Montana hometown. Everyone knows she’s trouble, and after her recent shoplifting conviction, now everyone knows she’s a criminal, too. What they don’t know is that was just the first time she got caught.

After eighty-three days in a reform school, Tiffany’s back in town. Everything at home has stayed the same—but Tiffany hasn’t. She’s no longer the same Tough Tiff who left three months ago, and she’s ready to leave that girl behind. In a town like Gabardine, she might never be able to overcome her reputation, but if she’s going to try, she’ll have to prove she’s changed.

So she follows all the new rules her mother sets. She even agrees to put on a high-maintenance play with her overbearing best friend and a geriatric cast. But in order to truly redeem herself, she may have to reveal the secrets she’s been keeping—secrets not just of her own, but also about her town and neighbors—that could bring her new world crashing down.
