About this ebook

Pride, Pemberley, and Second Chances

When history-loving Olivia Bennett’s teaching contract isn’t renewed, she is considered her family’s logical choice to care for her ailing grandmother in a tiny English village. While there, she soon finds additional work at nearby Hartbury Hall—one of England’s great houses once used as Pemberley in a filmed production of Pride and Prejudice. The head gardener there, however, proves to be anything but the gentlemanly hero of that famous book. Little does she know that behind Liam Browne’s brusque exterior is both a family tragedy and a legacy that demands truth and honor, creating a crisis that only Liv’s vivacious determination can resolve. Along the way, she may just learn that appearances count for naught. . .and that love can be found in unexpected ways.

Absolutely adored this book! Carolyn Miller delivers a charming, clever, modern twist on Jane Austen’s beloved Pride & Prejudice with a touch of faith. The sparks fly when Liv & Liam meet, & I was there for every moment of this delightful enemies to more romance. I LOVED this story! It was such a creative take on P&P. Adored the gruff Liam & sunshiny Liv. The sizzling chemistry between them crackles with romantic tension. Highly recommend! Can’t wait for the next book!

This was a sweet story and I really enjoyed it. I was also surprised that this was the first book that I have read by this author. I love the storyline which is written as a Christian type of reading material, which I really love reading Olivia was an enjoyable character that was quite real to me. Going to England to care for someone is also something that resonates for me as a caretaker as well. I love how they worked on the Hartbury Hall to restore it which is something that I would love
