About this ebook
A train gets waylaid in the middle of nowhere, and Luke and his dad find themselves with four hours to kill before it’s fixed. Just enough time for a trip to the mysterious, decrepit old museum on the edge of town. A short story from Guys Read: Other Worlds, edited by Jon Scieszka.
They think it’s just a way to kill time. But what waits for them inside the Klack Bros. Museum?
- A Haunted Museum: Forget dusty farm equipment. This place has a creepy circus sideshow, a heart in a jar, and an attraction called the "Ghost Boy."
- A Trapped Spirit: Luke is the only one who can see the ghost of a lonely Chinese boy, a spirit bound to a jar of ashes for over a hundred years.
- Father-Son Story: When Luke’s dad steals the ashes, hoping the ghost’s tragedy will cure his writer’s block, Luke must choose between his father and doing the right thing.
- Paranormal Adventure: From a strange roadside stop to a desperate chase on a moving train, Luke races to solve a century-old mystery and set the ghost boy free.
