Ive done my reviews out of order and I'm happy I did. This one was the most shifter like than the last two. Talks about the high metabolism, though not being able to shift unless you are a guy or getting some guy junk in you is not it. Poor Cora. Also the northern lights didn't bother anyone else in books two and three.....

John Tillman is a bush pilot in Alaska. He's been raising his sister, Cora since their parents died in a plane crash. He's hired by Logan Maddox to take him and his son, Will out camping and hunting for a week. Both men are attracted to each other and both have little experience being with a man. They explore each other and their sexuality at night while the teenagers sleep. The teens stir up some trouble and both men freak out a bit. Liked the ending, but wanted to see them happily committed and living together. Maybe an epilogue would help complete their story a bit better.

This is such a good book. Mia paints the story and moves Madox and Tillman within that canvas with a master's touch. She makes the unbelievable, believable and then spins up the tensions. It is great. Thanks.

About the author

Mia writes m/m romance about heroes who’ve convinced themselves they’re unlovable — and the patient, persistent partners who prove them wrong. Protectors learning to be protected, outcasts discovering found family, and lone wolves forced close enough that their defenses don’t stand a chance. She’s drawn to slow burns between grumpy guys and the sunshine that melts them, second chances for those who thought their time had passed, and the quiet intimacy of two people coming home to each other.
