Murder in Pompeii

In the shadow of Vesuvius...

... lie the ruins of Pompeii, a city destroyed by a cataclysmic eruption 2,000 years ago. Today, the area appears peaceful. But appearances can be deceptive – and death is never far away.

Simmering below the surface...

Former DCI Dan Armstrong and his faithful black Labrador, Oscar, accompany Dan’s wife, Anna, to the spectacular Villa Venere while she attends a conference at the archaeological site. But no sooner do they get there, their hostess begs Dan to investigate a series of chilling death threats that she and her husband have been receiving.

An eruption of violence...

Before he can begin, a death occurs. The police believe it was suicide, but Dan’s instincts tell him otherwise. With the killer close at hand, he must unmask a murderer before they strike again.

Digging up the past...

As Dan begins to dig deeper, uncovering dark secrets and deception in the victim’s past, suspects mount and lies multiply. Will Dan and Oscar sniff out a killer, or is this case destined to remain buried, just like the old city of Pompeii?
