About this ebook

A reflective, romantic coming-of-age novel about a boy desperate to hold on, a girl ready to let go, and the choices they will make in that tumultuous space between high school and college.

“Heartwarming, provoking, and real.”—BuzzFeed

“Readers will get both a lesson in vocabulary and on fate—as well as a reminder not to work against the time we are given.”—School Library Journal

Fitz Holton
has made up his mind. He’ll attend college close to home and care for his single mom while she battles early-onset Alzheimer’s. Spending ten days touring out-of-state colleges is wildly unnecessary, not to mention a colossal waste of time. If it were anyone but his mother asking, he’d stay home over winter break.

Juniper Ramírez is counting down the days until she can leave her crowded home with five younger siblings and zero privacy. Against the wishes of her tight-knit family, Juniper plans her own college tour with one goal in mind: get out.

When Fitz and Juniper cross paths on their first stop in Boston, they’re at odds from the moment they meet. But finding each other might just be the first step toward finding themselves, and a love that carries them out of the past and into a wide open future.

About the author

Raised by a school librarian, Austin Siegemund-Broka has always had a passion for books. He met and fell in love with Emily in high school and attended Harvard University, where he studied English (focusing on Shakespeare). He is currently a UCLA law student; however there's nothing he loves like writing with Emily. Emily has loved writing and story-telling since an age she hardly remembers.

Since meeting Austin (she says it was middle school—accounts vary), Emily Wibberley attended Princeton University as an undergraduate and studied psychology. She is the author of the YA fantasy trilogy the Last Oracle, which was featured in USA Today and was a finalist for the Next Generation Indie Book Awards.
