No warning. No struggle. Just silence.
On October 15th, the world blinked and most of humanity vanished. Planes fell. Cars crashed. Families were ripped apart mid-sentence. Only a scattered few were left behind to search for answers in the wreckage, and to face the thing waking in the dark.
This isn't the apocalypse. It's something worse.
A reporter searches the silent streets of Manhattan for the son he failed. A federal agent crawls from a plane crash he should not have survived, carrying secrets that were never meant to leave his head. A boy named Luca hears what the world is trying to say. And on a long, empty highway, a charming psychopath named Boricio drives toward the others, smiling. He may be the only one truly ready for what comes next.
Black-eyed creatures whisper from the shadows. A government facility called Black Island hides a truth that predates the event. And a conspiracy threaded through time and trauma begins to unfold, because the world didn't end on October 15th.
Something else began.

Sean Platt has always been an entrepreneur, but stories were the business he was born to build.
When his wife bought him a laptop for his birthday in 2007, he dropped everything to write fiction.
After a short stint as creative director at a marketing agency — where he learned the kind of copywriting that could turn cliffhangers into an art — Sean wrote hundreds of novels (including international bestsellers), penned Hollywood scripts, and founded Sterling & Stone, an IP incubator where more than two dozen writers turn wild ideas into world-changing stories.
Originally from Long Beach, California, Sean now lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Cindy, and their dog, Fisher — both of whom remind him that real life makes the best stories.
David W. Wright is the co-author of edge-of-your-seat thrillers including the best-selling post-apocalyptic series Yesterday’s Gone, the paranoid sci-fi WhiteSpace series, and the vigilante series, No Justice, as well as standalone thrillers 12, and Crash which was recently optioned for a movie.
David is an accomplished, though intermittent, cartoonist who lives in [LOCATION REDACTED] with his wife and son [NAMES REDACTED.]
He is not at all paranoid.
He is “the grumpy one” on the Story Studio Podcast with fellow Sterling and Stone founders, Sean Platt and Johnny B. Truant.
David writes about books, TV shows, movies, and video games he enjoys; his struggles with anxiety and OCD; writing; and posts the occasional drawing at his personal blog at davidwwright.com
