About this ebook

While learning a new language isn’t a “knack” for everyone, Knack American Sign Language finally makes it easy. The clear layout, succinct information, and topic-specific sign language partnered with high-quality photos enable quick learning. By a “bilingual” author whose parents were both deaf, and photographed by a design professor at the leading deaf university, Gallaudet, it covers all the basic building blocks of communication. It does so with a view to each reader’s reason for learning, whether teaching a toddler basic signs or communicating with a deaf coworker. Readers will come away with a usable knowledge base rather than a collection of signs with limited use.

·     450 full-color photos

·     American Sign Language

·     Intended for people who can hear

·     Can be used with babies and young children

I highly recommend for anyone learning or refreshing what they already know! Step by step with pictures and a clear understanding to the sign language world! Must have for anyone who works with a variety of clients. I just had a client who was hard of hearing/deaf and it was difficult for me to communicate and I felt bad that we couldn't communicate comfortably, so I went on Google books and found this, and I am absolutely amazed at how simple this book is!

Never heard of the term CODA before, but it makes since to learn ASL from such ones, who else would have more emparhy for the deaf, or hearing impaired. I learned my abc's and numbers 1- 20 while learning the basic principles, of ASL in just about an hour, the illustrations were excellent, much better than the competitive book with sketches, couldn't see clearly what they you to do. ! If you really want to learn ASL, WITH FUNDAMENTALS this book is for you!

After had read the sample ebook where pictures can be seen. When the page setting to original pages, no picture will be shown, leaving blank pages with text only. Anyhow the page setting change to flowing text, the picture appear accodingly. It was rather not ideal when the setting is not right for reading.
