About this ebook

Marsh Givens knows exactly how long it takes a person to die. She teaches it to new CIA officers at the Farm. Matt Perez is the best recruit she has ever trained, and the one she should never have touched. When he ends it with a rehearsed line, she begins to suspect what he really is. The night he tells her the truth, she makes a decision she cannot take back, and then she does what she does best: she hides every trace.

Investigator Jules Farnsworth is a man who looks for the one detail that doesn’t belong. The Agency wants the death closed as natural. A dead man’s shirt holds a secret nobody thought to examine, and a four-minute gap that even Marsh cannot correct.
