This is a beautifully-illustrated edition of the original fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The text is the original version with the bittersweet ending, yet still shows readers that despite the shortness of life, there's still beauty in the things around us. The book is a must have for fairy tale fans and I'm also pleased this edition is in a fixed layout that fits the entire screen. The Little Mermaid is best read together with loved ones while listening to the unabridged narration.
