Absolutely Not the Mission: A low-spice, thrilling spy romance

Ruby Knight has spent three years pursuing Damien Cade--the criminal broker she once let walk away. Trusting the wrong person didn't ruin her career, but it did leave her with an emotional bruise she's never quite managed to shake. So, when Cade resurfaces in London chasing a biological weapon capable of collapsing the world's food supply, Ruby sees one thing: a chance to make it right, and this time she won't miss.

Then Callan James stumbles into her operation.

Callan came to Europe for an "adventure vacation" his sister insisted he needed--though judging by the itinerary, it's less a getaway and more a scheduled list of creative ways he might die. The trip includes heights, speed, danger, and an alarming number of harness-based activities. But when he's mistaken for a criminal and targeted by a bio-terror network, Callan realizes the adventure package was the least of his problems. His goal is simple: don't die. Ruby's goal is slightly more complicated: don't let him die.

Forced into a partnership neither planned for, Ruby and Callan are swept into a whirlwind chase across Europe--dodging bullets, unraveling a global conspiracy, and tripping over a wildly inconvenient attraction that could ruin everything. She fears repeating her past. He fears being the reason someone else gets hurt. But together they just might be the world's most unexpected line of defense.

Saving the world wasn't on the brochure. Neither was falling for each other. Survival isn't guaranteed, but the world is counting on them anyway.
