MAKING ALL THINGS NEW: A 21st Century Update of Oswald Chambers

Known as the author of the bestselling devotional My Utmost for His Highest, Chambers’ work has influenced millions of believers around the world. This updated edition brings his classic Making All Things New into the 21st century, preserving his powerful message while adapting the language and application for today’s readers.

This is not a reprint of Oswald Chambers’ original work.

More than a century has passed since Chambers first delivered these messages. While his central teachings remain powerful and relevant, the style, expressions, and some of the language can feel dated to modern readers.

This edition is a 21st-century update of Chambers’ classic. I have kept his core message, his deep insight into the Christian life, and his passionate call to follow Christ faithfully while adapting the content and language for today’s world. The heart of the book—how the life, teachings, death, resurrection, and future return of Jesus Christ should transform the life of every believer—is just as important now as it was in Chambers’ day.

Wherever possible, I have maintained Chambers’ earnest and compelling style. However, the chapter titles and much of the content have been rewritten and expanded to show how Christians living in the twenty-first century can apply these life-changing biblical truths. From Jesus’ birth and baptism to His sacrifice, resurrection, ascension, teachings, prayer life, and promised return, each chapter directs the reader toward a life of greater faith, obedience, spiritual maturity, and devotion to Jehovah.

My prayer is that this updated edition will introduce a new generation of Christians to the powerful spiritual insights of Oswald Chambers and encourage them to allow the Word of God to renew their minds, transform their conduct, deepen their relationship with Christ, and prepare them for the righteous future Jehovah has promised.
