The story is told in chapters alternating between ardent swordswoman Elizabeth Wynchester & inveterate inventor Stephen Lenox. Elizabeth & Stephen engage in a treasure hunt to find a missing will while defending his relative’s castle from an entitled neighbor determined to possess it, and of course engaging in outrageous flirtation. These two are so perfect together, and I loved their unique courtship approaches. Recommended for fans of Regency romance, rom-coms, treasure hunts, & found family.

This was just such ridiculous fun! I don’t even know how to explain what I just read. It was sweet and funny, deep and inspiring all at once. Elizabeth’s cheerful bloodthirstiness is balanced by Stephen’s logical, methodical nature. On the surface, they’re the definition of “opposites attract”, but they have so much in common in their hearts. I adored this pair together and I kind of hate that the book is over already. If for no other reason than that I have to wait for my next dose

I thoroughly enjoyed this rollicking romp of a romance. It was funny, sweet, spicy, thrilling, action packed, heartfelt and emotional. I absolutely adored Elizabeth and Stephen was lovable, cute and swoon worthy. This utterly charming, laugh until your face hurts book is not to be missed.
