About this ebook

Don’t miss AJ Finn’s eagerly anticipated new thriller, END OF STORY!

“As the plot seizes us, the prose caresses us. . . [Finn] has not only captured, sympathetically, the interior life of a depressed person, but also written a riveting thriller that will keep you guessing to the very last sentence.” — Washington Post

The #1 bestseller that gripped the world, selling millions of copies around the globe – a tour-de-force Hitchcockian thriller about an agoraphobic woman who believes she witnessed a crime in a neighboring house.

It isn’t paranoia if it’s really happening . . .

Anna Fox lives alone—a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times . . . and spying on her neighbors.

Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, mother, their teenaged son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn’t, her world begins to crumble and its shocking secrets are laid bare.

What is real? What is imagined? Who is in danger? Who is in control? In this diabolically gripping domestic thriller, no one—and nothing—is what it seems. Is Anna an unreliable narrator, or is she the only one who knows the truth?

Twisty and powerful, ingenious and moving, The Woman in the Window is a smart, sophisticated novel of psychological suspense that recalls the best of Hitchcock.

Definitely a slow start but a good read nonetheless. I liked that I was not able to predict the exact ending before it actually ended. There were elements that I had definitely figured out quite early on but it didn't really have an effect on my overall response to the outcome. I recommend this book.

This was a great thriller. It had many twists and turns. I really liked how it seemed like Anna, the main character, was lying to us for most of the book and when the truth came out it really shocked me. Although, I did not enjoy the overtelling about old movies and I feel like some things could've had more backstory.

Such a gripping story! The plot has innumerable twists and turns, and the characters are finely, carefully drawn. Flashbacks aren't usually my favorite thing, but the writer is so skillful here that they actually add to the story. I would certainly recommend the book. One caution: If you have serious trouble with depression, I'd skip it. It's so easy to go into Anna's mindset. Anna, the main character, is a brilliant psychologist who has a severe case of agoraphobia, drinks too much and overmedicates herself with pills. An external cause aggravates her illness; the reader does not learn about this until halfway through the book. Incidentally, there's a lot of interesting description about living in an old, big-city townhouse; it's sort of "living vertically."
