Millie Michalchuk has gone to fat camp every year since she was a little girl. Not this year. This year she has new plans to chase her secret dream of being a newscaster—and to kiss the boy she’s crushing on.

Callie Reyes is the pretty girl who is next in line for dance team captain and has the popular boyfriend. But when it comes to other girls, she’s more frenemy than friend.

When circumstances bring the girls together over the course of a semester, they surprise everyone (especially themselves) by realizing that they might have more in common than they ever imagined.

A story about unexpected friendship, romance, and Texas-size girl power, this is another winner from Julie Murphy.

What happens when the girl who’s used to being invisible and the girl who’s used to being seen have no choice but to rely on each other?

• Body Positivity: After years of fat camp, Millie is learning that she doesn’t need to change her body to chase her dreams—or get the boy.
• Frenemies to Friends: Callie is used to being the queen bee. Millie is used to being… well, not. When they’re forced to work together, they discover a friendship they never saw coming.
• Dual POV: Told from the perspectives of both Millie and Callie, this story shows there’s more than one side to every girl.
• Small Town Texas Setting: From high school drama to dance team rivalries, this story is packed with the charm and challenges of growing up in a small Texas town.
