°•Beyond basics for a successful business•° This book is provided with a variety of entrepreneurs who teach you how to have; a niche, create a business plan, legalities, choosing your business structure, financing processing your financial needs, ways to fund your business structure and more!! I was actually surprised with how much helpful information, steps and graphs were shown & provided in the book. Not only were there diverse voices, but surprisingly enough, there was also very insightful and helpful advice. Things I didn't even think about and didn't know that I would need to know. More than just being a basic book on business. This book provided the basics and beyond. There was talk about burnout, and exercise and diet to help you along as you are doing your business because not only are our businesses important, but also our mental, physical and emotional health before hand. And that was my most favorite thing about this book! I highly recommend this.

Thank you to BookishFirst for this book in exchange for an honest review! Business Minded: A Guide to Setting Up Your Mind, Body and Business for Success by Carly A. Riordan is an amazing self-help guide to entrepreneurship. It is perfect for the Shark Tank fans or budding entrepreneurs in your life! The book includes sections for creating a business plan, getting legal help, setting up bookkeeping, and social media/branding. Interspersed between the chapters are interviews with entrepreneurs. Here is an excerpt from the section "The Big Idea": "IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT. No matter where you’re starting off, there can be a lot of pressure around coming up with a great idea. If you struggle with perfectionism, you may think your idea needs to be completely fleshed out and perfect from day one. Try your best to relieve yourself of that pressure. Your idea doesn’t have to—and probably won’t—come to you overnight, and it certainly doesn’t need to be perfect right away. Relax. You will not have to pitch your idea immediately to a team of investors. You’re allowed to go in one direction and pivot down the road. You can change your mind completely. Once you start a business plan, you may realize that your idea, although great in theory, will be hard to pull off, and that’s okay! Give yourself permission to give an idea a shot and see where it goes." Overall, Business Minded: A Guide to Setting Up Your Mind, Body and Business for Success is the perfect gift for the business-interested person in your life. If anyone you know has been watching Shark Tank and can't wait to start their own business, then you should get them this book! One highlight of this book are self-help pages that invite you to write on them and chart your own plans. Many self-help books don't include pages like this, and I think that they're really helpful. If you're intrigued by the excerpt above, or if you're a fan of entrepreneurship, I highly recommend that you check out this book, which is available now!

Comprehensive For anyone who is thinking about starting a business or even just starting to sell products or services on his or her own, this book will make sure the business aspects and personal aspects are well thought out before continuing. In this conversational how-to book, the author presents business decisions to make well before starting with well-organized charts, checklists, journaling prompts, and items to consider. The author covers basics to help individuals and groups decide what kind of business to form, marketing ideas, branding ideas, how to set pricing of products and services, hiring strategies and reasons to bring on employees, how to use social media to promote your business and so much more. This book also covers important personal health issues such as making time to exercise, sleep, eat well, spend time with family and friends, and more. The best part of this book was the female business owner features in which the author interviewed various entrepreneurs about how they started out, what they would have done differently, and important lessons learned. Overall, this book is an excellent starting point that will help entrepreneurs research further and find help in areas they need.
