I actually read "Sins and Needles" first, but it was so good I needed to read the first book before I tried to read the third book that is coming out soon. I was on the edge of my chair the entire time. I loved how in the first chapter action was going on already, there was no 6 chapter pointless ease into a story line. It was just long enough to be detailed really well and have a great story line that made sense. It was gripping, it was heart breaking, sweet, comical, and sad all in one. I loved it. The characters were dynamic and flawed, no one was so much of anything that they seemed unreal. Very down to earth and in your face at the same time, which is an odd way to describe a book about a bunch of con artists and drug cartel. I would give 5 stars but there were a few grammatical errors through out the book, some words missing and I can recall 2 sentences that didn't make sense because of it, but it wasn't so much that it made the story hard to read, easily overlook-able.
