In my day job, I am a copy editor. At the start, I was employed by various advertising agencies, but for the past six years I have worked freelance. Hence, working with texts and ideas has been my main occupation for a long time. Yet, the idea of writing 'my own book' was always a great temptation. Not a commissioned piece of work, but something that would be entirely the product of my own imagination.
In the spring of 2009, when I spent a month in Naples, ideas for a book started to take shape. It was only a whole year later that I discovered the possibility of crowd funding. If I could enlist enough supporters, my debut thriller 'Blood money' would be published. By June 2012, the Naples-inspired maffia thriller was available in book stores.
The experience of publishing my first book only whetted my appetite for more. My next book was a story that played out a bit closer to home. 'Sworn friends' has been available in book stores since April 2014.
My new thriller is called 'No way back' and will be published in May 2017.
In the meantime, I have started working on the manuscripts of my fourth (and fifth) thrillers. And, of course, I am still working as a copy editor for a wide range of clients.
I have a wife, three daughters and a passion for Italy.
