About this ebook
In this psychological thriller from the world's #1 bestselling author, a missing patient raises concerns in a New York hospital—but as others start disappearing, every dark possibility becomes more and more likely.
To Senior Midwife Lucy Ryuan, pregnancy is not an unusual condition—it's her life's work. But when two kidnappings and a vicious stabbing happen on her watch in a university hospital in Manhattan, her focus abruptly changes. Something has to be done, and Lucy is fearless enough to try.
Rumors begin to swirl, blaming everyone from the Russian Mafia to an underground adoption network.
Lucy teams up with a skeptical NYPD detective to solve the case, but the truth is far more twisted than a feisty single mom could ever have imagined.

i could only think this book was a first draft as i read it and maybe not even that. this has none of the flow I associate with Patterson's books. it is choppy and again feels like a first draft. As I think back, I cannot recall one book of his where a character is not relatable and yet this book has several. it has potential but would require some serious editing to make it a true James Patterson book.. Which then makes me wonder what happened to the editor of this book??? and why did they allow this to go to print knowing it was not up to par?!?! the one positive is spell and grammar check was in fine form.
