I really enjoyed rainbow six and figured I'd pick this one up. Can be slow at the beginning and during some of the exposition chapters but the action was breath taking. I'm a bit of a gamer and seeing so much action in a book is amazing. Too bad there aren't any other books with John Clark in them! :(

I bought this book to read while I was out of town for a week thinking it would last being its a pretty long book. I finished it the first 2 days. Honestly, when I picked it up I was already thinking it would be really good being I knew who John Clark was as far as Clancy goes, but even still it was so much better than I hoped it would be. Awesome story, great read. Flows very well. Top three Clancy books for sure.

Absolutely brilliantly written book with the first introduction of "Mr. Clark", who is one of the most original characters in any book series! Saw one review that said they wished John Clark was in other Clancy books as well....in fact, "Mr Clark" is lead in 2 books. Without Remorse, and Rainbow Six. Then in the Ryanverse i think hes in 3? Debt of Honor? Or Executive Decision? Not 100% sure which of those he was in. Might be both. But I AM sure he appears in The Bear and the Dragon.
