About this ebook

After leaving the Lawson Peabody School for Young Girls in Boston--under dire circumstances, of course--Jacky Faber boards a whaling ship bound for London, where she hopes to find her beloved Jaimy. But things don't go as planned, and soon Jacky is off on a wild misadventure at sea. She thwarts the lecherous advances of a crazy captain, rallies sailors to her side, and ultimately gains command of a ship in His Majesty's Royal Navy. But Jacky's adventures don't end there. . . . Includes a teaser to Jacky's next adventure, In the Belly of the Bloodhound.

  • Strong Female Protagonist: Ship's boy, schoolgirl, and now sailor—Jacky Faber can out-sing, out-smart, and out-sail any man on the high seas.
  • High Seas Adventure: From escaping a Boston finishing school to serving on a stinking whaler, Jacky's quest to find her beloved Jaimy is anything but a straight course.
  • From Sailor to Captain: When a tyrannical captain pushes his crew too far, Jacky must rally the sailors and take command of a Royal Navy warship to save them all.
  • An Age of Sail Saga: Perfect for fans of the Bloody Jack series and readers who love action-packed historical fiction set in the grand age of wooden ships and iron wills.
