About the author

Mr. Chandan Nayak is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy, ARKA JAIN University, Jharkhand. He has over eight years of teaching experience. He holds a Master’s degree in Pharmacy and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. His areas of interest include Nanotechnology and Drug Delivery Systems. He is a life member of several professional organizations, including APTI, IPA. Mr. Nayak has guided more than 30 M.Pharm students and 20 B.Pharm students. He has authored 12 research and review articles published in reputed national and international journals. In addition, he holds five Indian patents and one design patent each from the UK and Australia. He has also published more than six books in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

Prof. (Dr.) Jyotirmaya Sahoo was awarded a Ph.D. in Pharmacy by Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, in 2016. He is currently serving as the Dean and Professor at the School of Pharmacy, ARKA JAIN University, Jharkhand. Dr. Sahoo brings over 20 years of experience in both academia and the pharmaceutical industry. He is a life member of several professional organizations, including APTI, IHPA, IPA, InPharm Association, and OCS. His accolades include the Best Research Award from Indian Drugs in 2016; second runner-up at the ICMR-sponsored national seminar held at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, in 2017; and the Sri Jaydev Medha Puraskar awarded by the Ashavani Foundation Trust and Sri Jaydev College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bhubaneswar, in 2017. In 2018, he was recognized as a potential reviewer by the Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association for the journal Indian Drugs. Dr. Sahoo has authored 48 research and review publications in reputed national and international journals. His primary area of interest is the exploration and in vitro investigation of synthetic and semi-synthetic antimicrobial agents.

Shiv Sankar Mishra holds a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutics from Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Berhampur, completed in 2024. He earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from Centurion University of Technology and Management, Bhubaneswar in 2022. He gained practical experience through an internship at the Government Sub-divisional Hospital, Ghasipura. He further broadened his industry knowledge by working at Gracure Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd., Delhi. Transitioning into academia, Mr. Mishra served as an Assistant Professor at ARKA JAIN University Jharkhand period of 3 Months, with a strong foundation in both industry and academia, Shiv Sankar Mishra brings valuable insights into the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

Ms. Shilpa Brahma holds a Master’s degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) and is currently serving as a faculty member at Hi-Tech College of Pharmacy in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. With a strong academic foundation and a passion for pharmaceutical sciences, she brings both theoretical insight and practical experience to her teaching and research endeavors. Her areas of interest include drug formulation, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical technology. Ms. Brahma is committed to fostering a culture of innovation and critical thinking among her students and continues to contribute to the field through scholarly activities and academic engagement.
