About this ebook

In Watcher in the Woods, book two in Robert Liparulo's family-friendly supernatural adventure series, the mystery gets even stranger when a man arrives at the King family's home oddly eager to claim their property, and the Kings realize they might be in more danger than they originally thought.

Pretending everything's all right is harder than it sounds. But the Kings know that even if they told the truth about the bizarre things happening in their house, no one would believe them. They're hyper-focused on rescuing their lost family member before anyone finds out what's going on. But when a stranger shows up to take their house, their options start dwindling fast. Why would he be so interested in a run-down old place? And what secrets is he hiding? As the house reveals deeper layers of its shifting hallways and gateways to distant times and places, the Kings must uncover what he's hiding--and who might be watching them--before the next disappearance tears their family apart.

The second installment in the Dreamhouse Kings series, packed with time travel, hidden worlds, creeping suspense, and high stakes family loyalty, is perfect for fans of fast-paced thrillers, portal fantasies, or anyone who enjoys family-friendly supernatural adventures. Continue the adventure with Gatekeepers, Timescape, Whirlwind, and Frenzy.

This has been one of my favorite books so far. I got a little bit farther than where this copy ends then someone at school stole it from my back pack. So now I have to order a new one, but it won't come for at least a week. The suspense is killing me.

In the beginning of the book we are introduced to an Assyrian assassin and the old man who must get to the house to help the King family. The King children are terrified by the strange man who wants to force them out of their house. He knows too much about their mother and the house. He tries several methods of getting what he wants. The King children and their father must start school and behave as if nothing is wrong. This is made more difficult by an accident David has that breaks his arm. A suggestion to the doctor from the powerful man who wants their house and the doctor suggests that Mr. King is abusing his son. When all of this fails to get them to leave the house the stranger arranges to have the father arrested and the children removed. They are unsuccessful in removing the children. The old man introduced into this story has convinced his nurse to take him to the house so he can help because he knows the house.
