Richard Baxter (1615-1691) was an English Puritan church leader, theologian, and controversialist. He is best known for his excellent pastoral reputation in his ministry at Kidderminster, where God granted him the grace to see hundreds of conversions and an entire village being transformed by the power of the Gospel. Baxter was a bit controversial among Calvinists, because of his view on repentance, nevertheless he preached a biblical Gospel. Richard Baxter died on December 8, 1691.
