Somehow, an intruder has infiltrated the keep and unleashed a vengeful dragon spirit. They suspect the intruder might also be responsible for the curse, but the knowledge does not come with instructions on how to fix either problem.
If Kennard, Tala, and the witches can't find the intruder, subdue the dragon, and wake the sleepers, everybody affected by the curse, including Violet, could die.
