About this ebook

Their fake engagement was meant to be simple, but can two stubborn opposites really call a truce when the sparks between them feel all too real?

Teacher Mallory Moore has hidden her crush on cowboy Cody Tomlinson for years. Now that she’s back in Last Stand, Texas, ignoring his pull is harder than ever. She dreams of renovating a historic movie theater into a performance space for the town’s teens, but Cody—and his line of admiring fans—is a distraction she doesn’t need. Sure, he has plenty of money to help, but Mallory refuses to be just another woman chasing his fortune.

Since his family’s lottery win, Cody has felt trapped on the ranch, hounded by attention he doesn’t want. At least Mallory seems safe—she’s never liked him. When his family urges him to support a good cause, her theater project sounds perfect. Mallory won’t take his money, but she will accept his labor… and in return, she’ll pretend to be his fiancée.

But the longer they play at love, the more real it feels. Can they keep their hearts from falling for the lie?

Loved the story of Cody and Mallory. They went to high school together and were never boyfriend and girlfriend although they secretly liked each other. He has been gone from their town of Last Stand and is back aching to find his passion. She is a high school teacher who also teaches drama. Her passion is to renovate the town’s theater. He joins the working crew to be close to her. It is a slow burn romance that is very engaging and delightful. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Billionaire Cowboy's Proposition by Kris Bock. Book three in The Accidential Billionaire Cowboy's series. The book was a great addition to the series with it's enjoyable storyline. What started as a fake relationship could maybe turn into so much more.
