Wonderful story with a few twists and turns and unexpected secrets that emerge. Strong and entertaining characters that fight the attraction between them but are still drawn to each other. Good addition to the Marietta location. Like good strong male and female characters. The two lead characters are both very strong-willed and both of them have baggage that complicates their feelings for each otheI received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

In this story we find Remy and he's on a mission. To finish a task his buddy that died in the war had not gotten around to. He's to find Arlo and make sure they are set for life. He meets the bar tender and he has to get the watch back that she has also. Shane and Remy tangle a bit and get some things figured out. They locate Arlo and are surprised by her. The group of guys on a mission are to meet after a years worth of time and see how everyone is doing with their missions. Lots of grit ...

Very, very, very good book. Love, pain, and doubt create the threads that form a relationship blanket. Bartender Shane has appeared in several Marietta novels and this one is hers and soldier cowboy Remy’s. There is so much going on in Shane and Remy’s narrative and it all runs smoothly together to create a story of relationships-new, old, and strained. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
